I recently reached out to McDonald Plumbing with the heavy rain that fell for about a week straight. I came to find out our sump pump failed and we had about an inch of standing water in our basement. With it still down pouring we knew we had to act quickly. From the moment I called McDonald, the representative we spoke with was sympathetic and gathered basic info to get to a team leader on the phone immediately (stayed on the phone with me while transferring). The team lead spoke to me within a few minutes and sent a crew within hours to take a look at the pump and assess the damage. The two technicians that came out were knowledgeable, patient, courteous with our home, and acted quickly. Within an hour we had a new sump pump working and the water receded quickly (they also pinned the wires professionally so they would not be damaged, they treated our home as if it were theirs). I will be recommending them for all plumbing needs in the future to anyone we can. From start to finish, what a great group of people who generally care about you and have years of expertise to get the job done right. Kudos to those technicians who came as well who worked tireless hours for many other homes as well.

McDonald was out to my house the next day to fix a leak from my city water supply. Kyle did a great job diagnosing the problem, finding the correct parts, coordinating with the city, and ultimately fixing my issue in a timely fashion. Would highly recommend McDonald for any plumbing needs.

McDonald employees answered our initial call, came out promptly to diagnose the issue, and came back to fix it when they said they would. That day they put runners down to protect the floors and did a thorough repair job and cleaned up after themselves. They kept us informed along the way. So glad we called them!

Late-night service was necessary as the sewer was backing up. They got all of the roots out of the sewer tile – clean as a whistle.

The crew just got done hooking up city water to my house.
1. 95% work done underground, just a pit at the lead at the street. Drilled a hole in the basement wall, “torpedoed” a line to the pit, and hooked up to the valve. Lots better than trenching!
2. Can’t say enough about the crew, I can spew accolades all day long. In short, prompt, friendly, and stuck with the job till it was done and they were packed up.

I couldn’t have been happier with the service from everyone at McDonald Plumbing, start to finish! We called late on Monday evening when my water main broke and Scott came out early on Tuesday to walk me through the fix. He explained everything perfectly, so I knew exactly what to expect and the whole thing was done by Wednesday afternoon. I was so grateful for the quick turnaround! The three guys who did the work were absolutely fantastic- super good at their jobs and so kind. Many thanks to everyone, I’ll certainly call again!

We’ve always used McDonald Plumbing for services to our drain pipes. They always take the time to describe what they are doing, how they will do it, and provide videos of their work. McDonald Plumbing has been on time, done well with communication, and really looked out for us. I’ll continue calling on them for their services.

Very happy with McDonald Plumbing! I had lost cold water in my shower and was unable to repair it. Brandon came out and inspected it, discussed options to remedy the situation, and worked with me to find the best solution. He came back and did the repairs in a professional, timely manner, and at a reasonable price. Very pleased with the outcome and would use them again for any plumbing needs. Great customer service and great business.

MacDonald responded to a backed up sub pump on a Saturday night at 10 pm, installed a new pump, and prevented what could have been a major disaster in our basement. The team took time to explain the new sub pump instructions and helped us understand how to operate the new pump in future situations. This was all in the midst of a 5-day rain storm where they were stretched already. I couldn’t give a higher recommendation of this company and the quality of service they provide.

This service was a recommendation. We decided to go with them. They are great. The water pressure is better than ever. Fair prices, great quality work, and very friendly. They arrived right on time and got done quick.

Nick from McDonald Plumbing did an excellent job. He was intelligent and friendly, and he accomplished preparing our kitchen for a new kitchen sink very quickly. He suggested some small improvements and made sure everything was set for our new countertop. He was very careful to keep everything clean, and he took the old hardware and packaging out with him. McDonald Plumbing was very good with communications. I would highly recommend this company.

Our home septic lift pump system failed. Company that had just cleaned out tanks explained issue, advised they couldn’t do it, but recommended McDonalds. Called, was put on an expedited service list, completed pump replacement as promised and for less than anticipated. Polite, courteous, professional staff, across the board. They connected us to the new septic line and connected our software conditioner to our drain field. Nice to talk too, answered all questions. Cleared up well. We have tight quarters inside and out, they made accommodations for that. They were mindful of all of our landscaping. Great job.

I have used McDonald several times now and I cannot recommend them enough. They are always on time, professional, and do great work. I’m sure you could get the work done cheaper but their pricing is very reasonable for the high quality of work.

They hooked my home to Grattan Township sewer. This involved emptying and destroying my septic tanks, filling the holes with sand and then topping off with top soil. Connecting my discharge pipe from my house to the grinder pump which had previously been installed by another company was also part of the service. They went out of their way to avoid damaging my irrigation system and were most pleasant and polite when we had occasion to converse. They also went out of their way to avoid damaging my lawn with their heavy equipment. By the end of the day it all came together. It is a huge relief to have it finished. It has been a multi year project.

We asked McDonald Plumbing to give us an estimate to replace our blue plastic water intake pipe with copper. Their estimator came out promptly and checked out the need. Our estimate and a contract were in my inbox the same day. McDonald’s did all the permits, surveys, and prep work and set the install even sooner than expected. When they arrived and set up for work they took great care in laying carpets down to protect our floors and stairs. Every aspect of the job was performed professionally and in a timely manner. We could hardly tell they had been here when they left! We recommend McDonald Plumbing highly, especially for folks in our area who have those blue plastic intake water pipes that get brittle and break at the worst times!
